Prince Boateng is an undergraduate Civil Engineering major at the University of Virginia.
His interests are centered on creating sustainable and equitable architecture for all. More specifically, he pursues research concerning the development of novel structural materials utilized in various extreme environments, and the application of said materials in both civil and mechanical use-cases. As a student, he is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Men of Character, Honor, and Ambition. Furthermore, he acts as the social outreach chair of the Multicultural Student Center’s Latinx Leadership Institute, is a part of numerous creative organizations such as Virginia Black Review and V Magazine, and is both a Posse and Ridley Scholar on grounds. Lastly, he works as a Resident Advisor for UVA Housing and Residence Life. In his free time, he enjoys fashion, photography, and practicing the bass guitar.
