Raahi Vyas is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia.
His interests are in robotic automation of experimental workflows and ML-assisted materials discovery. Previously, he developed a Python pipeline at the Soft Biomatter Lab that screened 186 hydrogel recipes across 8 ML models. At the Mechatronics and Robotics Society, he designed and manufactured a waterjet-cut electronics housing unit for the team’s NASA Lunabotics rover. Raahi is interested in automation and machine learning as research methods, with the goal of applying them to avionics and robotics. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and performing with the Charlottesville Symphony.
