Yalguun Baterdene is an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia studying aerospace engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Materials Science and Engineering.
Yalguun has an interest in doing research at the intersection of aerospace and materials science, specifically in the development and application of advanced materials for aircraft and spacecraft structures. She is interested in how materials react under extreme environmental conditions and how these reactions can be used to improve structural performance. During her free time, she enjoys reading, eating out with friends, and watching the newest episodes of The Great British Baking Show.
